Subscribe a group to an email mailing list

You can now subscribe a group's Loomio email address to an external mailing list. When the list delivers a message to Loomio, it can start a new thread even when the visible To field shows the mailing-list address rather than the group's address. Find the group's email address in Group settings under Start a discussion by email.

The thread author is matched from the message's visible From address. A group member's address works immediately. For an unrecognised address, group administrators receive an in-app notification where they can associate the address with a member or block it. Mailing lists that preserve each sender's address may therefore require an alias for each sender; lists that use one stable From address need only one alias.

Email forwarding also works when another address forwards messages to a Loomio group address. Existing email-to-group permissions are unchanged.
