Smaller improvements (April)

A collection of smaller fixes and polish items:

• Error pages redesigned. Error messages for common problems like access-denied and not-found are now clearer and styled to match the current interface.
• German locale fixes. Corrected several German translations where formal register had been used instead of informal.
