Loomio

AntiUniversity Now! Cornish Fringe

This group is the online hub for organisation of the AntiUniversity Now! cornish fringe festival Fri 20th - Sun 22nd November 2015, brought to you by Glasney Research Guild in association with the AntiUniversity of East London and Open School East. Our aim is not to dictate festival content or to replace live meetings, but to provide a transparent and accessible event production process. Loomio is an ideal tool to help us achieve this aim. Not everyone can make it to pub meetups!

The main festival AntiUniversity Now! is based in London and supported by Hackney Museum, and is a collaborative experiment to revisit and reimagine the Anti-University, a movement in the late 1960s based in Rivington Street, Shoreditch concerned with alternative education, self-organisation, non-hierarchical structures and radicalism.

The Antiuniversity Now! cornish fringe festival will run its own 3-day programme of events in parallel with the London festival, and will follow the same principle of inviting anyone to run a course / workshop / study session / group discussion / guided walk or any other type of collective sharing in a space of their choice, as long as it’s free and accessible. This Loomio group aims to address any and all organisational challenges specific to the cornish fringe festival programme (e.g. having our own distinct website, sharing access to cornish venues, developing local partnerships etc.)
