Our Field Weston

OurField is an open source model whereby communities are able to "buy" into a field and become part of the process in deciding how the crops in that field are grown. This project enables the public to engage with farming methods and learn about the intricate decisions that farmers have to make on a day to day basis. At the same time it gives farmers the freedom to experiment with new, publicly supported, growing techniques.

We began in January 2017 with the first field #OurField - #OurFieldWeston, at Weston Farm in Hertfordshire. We are documenting every part of the journey so that we will have a template for others to create their own #OurFields in their communities.
