Moderators for forum, MLs
Hi everybody. We have discussed the topic "moderators" a while ago, but it ended nowhere. At the same time moderators are needed.
Current suggestion to be discussed:
Any OMA member can be a moderator, if he expresses such a wish. We need some kind of approval process here, my suggestion would be that Council needs to approve the candidates. The total number of moderators is defined according to how quickly OMa grows:) For now it could be limited by "10 or less" - this lets people be not overloaded, but manage the issues.
Moderators can work anonymously if needed (ie, there should be an email address and ID moderator@, to avoid unneeded personal feelings in some cases of moderator's job).
We need to accept "moderators rules" and announce them, to be able to take the topic forward

I agree it is time for official moderation rules and they probably shouldn't be the same for Forums and ML.

Yep. We need a simple set of "quick" rules for moderation pretty soon, and a moderation team too :)

I've never been good at moderation. However, I think that the Council should have key moderators that should pick moderators for their language.

It might be a good idea to create a moderator team.
But basically I think that there should be some key moderators that decide who to make moderators, and who to revoke as moderator. They could make decisions, and if they can't agree on a candidate, they can take it to council to decide. And if anyone in the moderator team feels strongly about a candidate, it can be taken to council to decide.
