CLING

The Community Languages Information Network Group (CLING) is a collaborative network of Christchurch agencies. It was created after the 2011 earthquake February 2011 to address the issues of inadequate communication with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities by emergency management. Its purpose is to raise awareness within Canterbury organisations, including earthquake recovery and insurance agencies, on best practice communication and engagement with CALD communities.
CLING’s work includes advising, advocating, and education on written and spoken communication, and engagement.
