Add support for Mozilla Persona

List of available pods.

@Jakob: Nice thought, but it'd probably be easier (and more efficient) to just directly link to podupti.me somewhere.

Sean Tilley Wed 12 Sep 2012 4:07PM

@Altruism: Apparently, there's a Drupal module for Persona: http://drupal.org/project/browserid

Dunno how good it is, will have to try it out. We also have to keep in mind that we want to keep our list of modules fairly light. The more modules you load and enable, the heavier the website gets.

We're also going to need some sort of Spam protection, so that bots don't end up trying to register and spam everywhere.

Sean, in a scale 1-10, how user friendly (new non-tech) do you think podupti.me is?

altruism Wed 12 Sep 2012 4:09PM

Sean, we are already testing Persona on the test site :)

Sean Tilley Wed 12 Sep 2012 4:10PM

It's not the prettiest-looking site, but it's a good service. Really, I'd have to at least give it an 8, with 10 being highest. It could be better, but it's functional, self-explanatory, and gets the job done.

I give it 3! And I feel generous today :)

Persona status on test site: I get "An unknown error occurred while attempting to validate your BrowserID login. After clicking "OK," you will be redirected to a page where you can log in without BrowserID or try logging in with BrowserID again."
