Wholehearted Bookkeeping Work-Exchange Proposal (Pilot for 3 months) - Discussion & Sense Check
Hi Guild mates,
As we've shared with you all we have been in conversation with Wholehearted Bookkeeping Cooperative about doing a work-exchange. After an Intake call with piggybank team and a conversation with Board, they have submitted a proposal. This work exchange trial will start with 3 months and will evaluate after whether this should continue or not.
We are asking for you to do following

Thanks for participating in the sense check.We will move forward with the trail for 3 months starting July and review our engagement as we go. The completion of this trial would be the end of September.

Hey hey!
I'm LOVING this. Do we think we'll have more that 12hrs of bookkeeping for them to do a month? The strategic plans/budget and the cash-flow management support alone I think could be gamer changers!

I think it's really great that they are willing to engage in agreement like this with us. Having their members use the space seems like a great way for them to understand as we understand how their accounting/bookkeeping services best serve the guilds needs. It's a win-win agreement IMO and great start to begin a working relationship with another org. Thanks for brokering and sharing.

I am in favor of a 3-month trial, but advocate us being very thoughtful before paying out any extra expenses. The value they are getting in terms of membership is well above the market rate for regular bookkeeping services for a small business (which this is fairly analogous to), so I just think we should be cautious about outlays on top of that. But if this will help us streamline things right now, and also take burden off of over-burdened teams, it may be worth it for that alone.

What is the decision you need to make?
Continuing the work-exchange with Wholehearted Bookkeeping for another three months.
Why is this important?
In the past three months, Nicole, Emma & Wholehearted Bookkeeping team have been a tremendous support for PPAC piggybank team, including completing filing 2024 Tax, re-organizing our bookkeeping system and recommendation for the future tax filing support (Bruce, our current vendor from Wegnar is retiring this fall.)
Our plan is to have better process for Cafe Revenue Share process, Member Credit process and reconciliation process in coming months.

Do we have any info available on whether or not there have been additional costs beyond the pure exchange component, and if so, how much?
