Hello,

2 weeks ago at the meeting I said I'd write an ad for volunteers and interns similar to the posting by Rampart Skatepark. I will post the ad here tonight when I finish writing it.

TITLE: All Ages Artist Nonprofit Seeks Volunteers to Receive Letter of Recommendation

BODY: Breakfast All Day Collective, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, runs and facilitates a volunteer-run arts center for the community in Arcata, CA called Outer Space.

Outer Space focuses on community building, youth empowerment, & promotion of understanding societies varying forms of oppression through education and creative expression.

We serve as an incubator for artists, writers, thinkers, and the youth of our community.

We're a DreamMaker Project of the Ink People Center for the Arts. (www.inkpeople.com)

Outer Space needs volunteers and interns to help run our artist gift shop located in downtown Arcata.

Duties include: maintain online presence, create social media postings, help out at events we host, contribute and organize our in house reading library, perform reception duties and light cleaning during and after yoga classes, work shops, and in-store performances.

Commitments begin at 2 hours per week with the opportunity for more hours.

Volunteers and interns will receive letters of recommendation from staff members upon completion of a predetermined amount of volunteer hours, to be determined on an individual, case by case basis, or as determined by any agency which requires volunteer hours.

Good point zev. Guess I've been thinking it was one mic, vs the wiring or connection, or whatever it is that's actually creating the situation.

Changing the proposal to: figure out why it's happening and fix the situation accordingly.

It's probably because the wiring in the building is not grounded properly and that's why people are getting shocked, their wet lips are completing the electrical current which should be going to ground. We should talk to the guy from Blackdog Building about this issue and see if he can properly ground at least one outlet which we can plug the board into which powers the mics.
