I've started this discussion to give a platform for people at Heathrose to ask any questions they're having about how to use Loomio, before removing myself from the group tomorrow.

Hopefully the Bistro 169 lunch discussion familiarised people to an extent, but feel free to ask for clarification on anything!

Best wishes,

Ben - thanks for this! We are scattered to the four winds at the moment (Glenda in Europe, Heather in Auckland, Sovaia at a conference) so we haven't had a chance to catch up with each other!

My observations:
1.because we have just used it for a relatively low level decision, I dont think we have yet explored its possibilities as an internal decision-making tool
2. i have been thinking over the last couple of days about how we might use it for engagement around some emerging issues. There re two that we are thinking about at the moment ........ one is about the labour market participation of people with intellectual disabilities and the other is about employer participation in social sustainability initiatives. Both would involve us being able to invite people from outside Heathrose. We tried to do that with someone from Business NZ (who had heard about Loomio and was very keen to try it out) but the message never got through to her - would we need to get her set up individually?

I think you need admin permissions to invite someone? If you have the address I'll give it a go.
