More from Lauren Zingarelli, @GreenovateBos

On Thursday, June 7th, the International Mayors Climate Summit is kicking off! This summit, organized by Mayor Martin J. Walsh, will bring together mayors from across the country and around the world to discuss actions cities are taking to address climate change. Cities play a critical role in advancing global climate commitments and these conversations are an opportunity to share these goals and actions.

You can watch a live-stream of the Boston Climate Summit at http://boston.gov/climate-summit.

The summit features a fireside chat with Secretary John Kerry, 68th U.S. Secretary of State, and a conversation with Vice Chair of Bank of America Anne Finucane focused on financing climate change solutions. The summit will also include featured remarks from Administrator Gina McCarthy, 13th Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

We know we need to work together in order to address climate change head-on. Only through our collective power and actions will we continue to make Boston more resilient, equitable, and climate-ready, and ensure a healthy and thriving City for all Bostonians.
