I'm volunteering to lead creation of the vision statement - if anyone wants to collaborate let me know!

ok,
Awesome... I like the knowledge/education bit in both of those examples & since there has been several discussions about holding classes/workshops I think we should incorporate the Idea of knowledge/education in to our vision statement... maybe something about all walks of life welcome & something in regards to an art theme.

oh oh... so just came to me: "Enriching the community through enhancing skills, knowledge & the arts." ... I still want more but I like the flow of this so far.

Update: Margaret and I plan to meet about the vision statement after the group meeting on Wednesday - finishing up no later than 8pm. If more time is needed we'll schedule an additional time another day. Anyone else who would like to help is welcome to join us Wednesday.
If you have ideas about the vision statement feel free to jot them down here - that will give us a head start for Wednesday

I really like the flow too - although I would suggest that we are enhancing skills and knowledge ABOUT the arts. Maybe "Our mission is to enrich the community by enhancing skills and knowledge about the arts. Our maker space achieves by providing a collaborative support system and location for creative projects and exploration".
And I don't think it ends there - I think there is more to say. But I'd better get back to work for now!

So Sorcha & I met this evening to hash out some more of the vision statement this is what we left with "Our vision is to provide a volunteer run space in the Tri-Cities community for artists & artists to be. Our space will foster local skills & knowledge about art (& technology), by providing craft specific areas & tools for creative projects through collaborative (member-based) support system." The 2 pieces in parentheses were added by Soracha and or my self & may need additional collaboration/working.

Hi Peggy and Sorcha,
I'd like to conduct a Branding Workshop for the group. I would like to set this up as a separate event from our bi-weekly meeting. Since you have been leading the vision statement working group, I want to make sure we schedule the workshop when both of you can make it. I am currently looking at this coming Sunday or Monday afternoon. Which of these days would be better for you?
I will hold-off on finalizing the schedule for the workshop until the Wed night meeting

Sounds great, Sunday is a no go for me got plans from 6am-9pm (busy girl :) ). But Monday should work fine as long as it is at or after say 6p.

Sorry, I already have plans Monday night. Could do Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday if that's any help.

So by vision statement, do you mean taking our current not so narrowed down goal of doing "arty stuff" & coming up with what this space is going to cover initial. Am I interpreting you correctly? If I am I would love to help with this as best I can :)
