Editorial board position OPEN

so in our election of a new editorial board a few months ago we found that we were one person short if we were to fulfil our quota of having at least 40% non-men involved. we decided to defer this vote to an online vote, or to advertise the position on the website.

in the last editorial board meeting we suggested asking members what they thought about us doing an online poll in order to elect a new editorial board member? we would make it clear that only people who do not identify as male can apply.

with the go-ahead we would advertise for the position on the website, gather the details and a short spiel about why people want to run and then make that available online, where people could vote for who they preferred.
