New name for the Naval Store

We need a new name for the Naval Store! Even if this old warehouse has been known as the Old Fremantle Naval Store for a long time, we have to come up with a more creative name, which reflects our activities and the enkel vision, mission and values better. Naval Store has a military connotation so this is out. We now use "The enkel Store", but this is not good. It sounds like a store where you can buy stuff.

I think it must include enkel in the title. Signage and free marketing branding for Freo traffic is a huge opportunity for enkel. What about "enkel connection". A place where people get connected with other change makers. Otherwise I thought of "enkel hangout" play on words with the climbing wall angle.

I agree, The Naval Store gives NO IDEA about its current purpose. Everyone knows The Naval Store as an iconic building. I wonder if there is a way of keeping that name and adding to get the best of both worlds. Like The Woolstores Shopping Centre.

I like you're idea of keeping some of the historic name, @bevjohnson.
Or we could just simply call it enkel Fremantle. It would fit in with the long-term plans we've toyed with, i.e. having enkel hubs in several suburbs.

Love that. Then the people with plans to start in Midland can ride on the name enkel Midland. etc etc. Powerful.

Yeah I quite like the simplicity of that too @adamjorlen- I would see the Fremantle being in smaller text.
I think we can get other information into the byline which is more flexible and can change over time.
Betahaus has a nice new one:
"... for individuals who want to choose and share their ideas of work" (and life?)
I would be cautious about making the name or byline too prescriptive because this space needs to cater for a wide range of people (we need to fill it to be sustainable!) People who are interested will get all the more defined information when they look a little further.

Really great options! For me Enkel needs to be in it and if there are going to be multiple spots, then naming Fremantle is a great plan. But it was missing something to excite me. So I was thinking for this one that it could be the headquarters. Enkel Headquarters - Fremantle and then the others could be named Enkel Hub - Midland or some other title that would suit. I think headquarters also takes a bit of the historic Naval history.

Im not so sure. If you look at really great examples around the world they generally just have the name and sometimes place:
agora
betahaus berlin
second home
etc...
Enkel Fremantle
for....catchy byline...
