Forest Conservation Act - HB 766
The Maryland Green Party has supported Forest Conservation legislation in the past. This bill would strengthen the Forest Conservation Act.
According to the Sierra Club, "Maryland continues to lose significant amounts of forested areas... [A]n expert analysis showed that, as of 2014, there were over 24,000 fewer acres of trees in our state than in 2008." - https://www.sierraclub.org/maryland/protect-marylands-forests
