Hi all...
Have a listen to the following... It may bolster our cause or give some insight into other methodologies of promotion?

I podcast the science show and lots of RN programs. Love RN.

Very interesting episode. I have contacted Janette Hartz-Karp to let her know about loomio and some of the developments around the world. I also gave Janette a link to this group in loomio.

This was a FANTASTIC post Pete Radic @pete1 - thank you so much for finding it and sharing it with us. I listened to the whole thing - it was exciting and refreshing - there seems to be MANY people who want democracy to be "more democratic" more consultative with the population and the citizens and less ready to do just what the lobby groups say....i loved Professor Janette-Hartz-Karp's example of the local council of Geralton - and their consultation with their own citizens regarding how best to spend the council budget.. just so refreshing... and it led to less complaints - because the people felt they had had an option to voice thier opinions and understand the complexities of the budget problem. And thank you @joum for taking the effort to contact Janette - a very important and wise decision. I am sorry that i've been away from Loomio discussions for about 2-3mnths... but i have spent 2-3 hours catching up on everything in here today - i believe i am now totally up to date on everything. Cheers Ollie.
