We could do a "tools" drop down and include harvester, the url shortener, and add tools/ resources as we go?

Yeah the list I put over on the side is just sort of a working one. I was supposed to mind map but didn't. I saw what was updated on the site, I like the way it looks, very streamlined. I actually put this post up when I was a bit tired/ didn't realize I couldn't go back and edit it or delete it, learning curve using loomio. I think I will close it, if I have another to propose I will put it up better organized (though the site looks decent as is)

not professional nor anything we can moderate. I think khao should stay khao and if we need a chat add one just for The Infinity Network to make it more fair to the inhabitants.
I feel like we are attracting the wrong inhabitants and participants being in/around DKMU.
While I am a strong advocate of freedom of speech I don't want to sit around and listen to drug talk all day nor rape jokes. If someone else is willing to moderate that would be great otherwise I think we should just let them have the room and make infn a new official chat (if it is even desired)
we will have to decide what chat platform to use and exactly what we need/want before that would take place.

you are welcome to try to come up with all new categories altogether (not just menu items)
I put the chat in the menu section to see if it allows multiple proposals in the same discussion but I guess not so you guys can delete it once you see it and think about it

I think you have some very valid points regarding chat, I've been thinking about it too and I am not sure what a good answer is. I don't think that we necessarily need a chat for the page just yet, but having it in the tab is really convenient for a lot of people who use phones/ tablets etc to get on chat.
Making a new chat for the menu might be a good solution, we could for sure try it out.
I agree that for the non profit we need to attract a wider variety of people. I think we are on the right track but chat is one of those gnawing issues that I am not sure how to deal with personally, so I am open to trying whatever you guys think will help.
I kinda like the laid back atmosphere in #khao, and maybe it would have been different a couple of years ago when one of us was around 24/7 but with us all working/ being super busy lots of times there is no one on chat to moderate.
If we did an "official chat" do you guys think password protecting it would help at all?
Or what about doing only scheduled sessions in that channel/ chat and keeping #khao kinda "off the grid"?
Like open chat between 8-10pm or something when we know someone will be there? Maybe add in video shizz for topic host like witches chat has, but less "culty" ?

I think a moderated official "The Infinity Network" chat is a good idea.

harvester sounds cooler but will they know its a search?
prob best that way because i know 'search' does not explain either
