4/23-27/18: Join Boston Blockchain Week or host weekly speaker series?
Attended Harvard's Real Estate Weekend Saturday and saw new #RE2020 member, @mikesullivan of http://RealEstateChain.io there. We talked briefly about the upcoming Boston Blockchain Week, April 23 - 27, but did not realize until today that some events are already selling out:

To my knowledge, the current list of events does NOT include or even intersect with the real estate ecosystem. Should we explore ways to fill that gap, or use the week to enhance our own knowledge of real estate? What happened at Harvard might inform your response.
Panelists began talking about "unicorns" 30 minutes into their #RETech session, but blockchain in real estate did not come up for another 30 minutes when an audience member asked for their perspective. One replied: “Blockchain is a solution in search of a problem in real estate.” Agree or disagree?
Should we use that response to stir our own discussion about use cases, whether it's part of Boston Blockchain Week or an ongoing series of speakers? There are still 31 weeks until the Realtors arrive in Boston, Nov. 2-5 for their annual convention. Should we invite blockchain in real estate innovators to speak weekly between now and then, or set-up a panel sometime between April 23 - 27?
Here's a first pass at potential blockchain in real estate speakers and site demos. Who else should we invite to be a panelist during Boston Blockchain week or a speaker during 2018?

Thanks for getting the votes started, Mike. That's quite a membership on Boston Cryptotalks! Do you / others know the Boston Blockchain Week organizers, and what ideas do you / others have for a panel? Or an ongoing series, resources for this group?
This tweet contains my own "vintage" presentation from the early days of the Blockchain hype cycle, November 2015 ;-) My take: blockchain in real estate use cases abound and will be transformative:

Bad news: @IdeoFuture's session, Designing for a Blockchain-based Future, is one of the Boston Blockchain Week events that is already SOLD OUT. Good news: remote attendance still available via
Should we gather together to listen to what Ideo CoLab has learned "over the past three years of building blockchain-based prototypes in collaboration with both cutting-edge startups and Fortune 500 companies"? Integrating blockchain into real estate will take an ecosystem approach, should we cocreate a roadmap that addresses IDEO's questions and delivers billions in consumer savings?
“What are blockchains good for?” to “How will using blockchains change the way we do [X]?”
Here's a look at what @IdeoFutures has already tweeted about blockchain in real estate:

Hi Bill. Thanks for the shout out and it's great to be here. If there is interest in a real estate blockchain panel for Boston blockchain week, I'm happy to co-organize with you. We could co-post on our meetup - https://www.meetup.com/Boston-Cryptotalks/ - and cross-post with the Boston Blockchain week folks.
