What happens after the consultation?

Open Data NZ will collate all feedback received from the consultation and use it to determine what support there is for the Charter and the current NZ principles, and the impacts that may have for NZ.

If there is sufficient support to make changes, then recommendations will be sent to the NZ Cabinet about changing the principles under which NZ releases open data. The changes would then be implemented in 2017.
