Regular Presence at Shared Ground?
This is for the Groundskeeping Committee, Steering Committee, and other motivated volunteers. What kind of commitments can we each make in the new year to have a regular physical presence at Shared Ground?
I am curious about the beneficial impacts of having someone "hold it down" each day at Shared Ground, or as many days as we can confidently commit to.
As I reconsider my commitments to Shared Ground in 2023, I feel able to commit to at least one, possibly two, days per week that I am there each week (minus planned vacations). For instance, I could see myself "holding it down" Tuesdays and Thursdays, or Tuesdays and Sundays.
How about you?
If we were to do a quick poll to assess our capacity to commit to weekly dates at Shared Ground, this may allow us to consider publicizing regular offerings, such as: regular drop-in hours for volunteers, regular meet-ups for committees, and/or regular drop-in coworking hours.

For Steering Committee members and other motivated volunteers, please indicate dates you could commit to being at Shared Ground EVERY WEEK in 2023 (or, at least the first quarter of 2023).
Dates below are representative of a weekly commitment, e.g. choosing Monday Jan 9 means you can do Mondays.
Exact times are actually flexible, feel free to add comments about dates/times/other nuances when you post.

Tuesdays or Thursdays I could hold open for coworking & volunteer shifts.
Sundays are harder for me to make a sure commitment to. However if there were a committee dedicated to spiritual programming on Sundays at Shared Ground I could see myself being more actively involved.

Generally Thursday's are ideal -- specifically the 12th I will be away however.

I can do Mondays but also notice that Monday's are our slowest day for events so thinking about maybe designing Mondays to be centered around more kids/childcare and co-working? Maybe even after school activities? I always go to the rec center to let the baby play in the daycare room while I work on my computer in the lobby (they have a policy that parents can't leave the building while kids are in the daycare) so I'm imagining we can get something similar going at SG...

Kenya: Monday coworking with childcare. Same model as rec center: you have to stay in the building, very low cost per hour to have your child be looked after.
Me: Sundays, feel very motivated to hold that down as a spiritual services & spiritual programming themed offering.

The proposal is that we have a steady, publicly-listed calendar of dates when we are "open" for drop-ins by the public. The term of this calendar would be February 1 - April 30, 2023.
The following chart describes the day / what happens / who serves as primary host.

Hosts are encouraged to ask for someone else to cover their shift at least 2 weeks in advance for dates they know they cannot do.
*I am awaiting word from my new employer about which day of the week is ideal for me to be remote all day. The day of the week might change. If possible, I'd like to offer at least one other weekday for regular coworking in addition to Mondays and Thursdays. And if someone else can "double up" with me on that day, that'd be lovely!

Let’s take out the childcare part of Mondays- I feel like a lot more would need to be figured out for that and I’m feeling like it might be best for me to not commit to every single Monday, maybe every other…

I love this idea, and am often holding it down at the space solo anyhow. I could be pretty flexible about which day during the week I commit to more regularly, though Tues Weds or Thurs would be best for me.
