Change in decision making process for web team.

This discussion will close on Tuesday April 14th 1PM PST.
As we are getting down to the wire and as velocity is now a primary concern - Core has adopted a new decision making process:
From Core Minutes April 6th - hackpads
We have consensus with people who are busy. This is slow and doesn't work well.
Chloe suggests using an Advice Process (source: Reinventing Organizations) :
You have a decision that needs making.
You identify the people who are most affected and people who have knowledge about the issue (not necessarily in the core group)
You consult them and get their advice.
You make the decision.
You record the decision (Next Edge Festival Decision making Log)
You implement the decision.
Principles of Doacracy (people who are doing the work are mandated to make decisions about what we do).
Focus on velocity.
Please discuss below.
Non-participation will be considered a clarification of whether you want to engage with the web team process going forward.
No reply by decision close will mean you are stepping out of web team.
Liz will make a more formal proposal after the discussion and feedback below.

I'm sorry I've been out of the loop, I've been slammed with other commitments of late. I still want to participate, and like the idea of doacracy.
Liz, I wondered if we could have a conversation in the next few days if you can find the time?
Tam

Thanks Tammy!
Mail me at lizmstrategy@gmail.com and we'll set something up.
OK - I will keep you on the list. There will be more public activity very soon so more will become clear regarding the event in general.
