Surely getting a helping hand from old Ma Nature is a better thing to do than man-made intervention?

In this, as in a whole lot else, let's work to democratise this society by arguing for Joe Public to be accorded open access to the facts of the matter via unslanted reporting and publication; let's hear what a well informed Public Voice sounds like once it feels involved and confident enough to enter

cleaner fish are specialists at cleaning other bigger fish. they have adapted to that role and there are a large number of these in the sea that do this role. some work on salmon, some on whales. they come in all sizes but they help keep the fish, whales and sharks they live close to, healthy and infection clear. removing them would make conditions worse.

a better way to deal with this welfare issue is to have the fish in larger areas so they have more room.
