At the moment, anything that reduces the amount of carbon entering the atmosphere is the priority. New nuclear power stations should not be built but exiting ones should continue, as long as they are safe. Wind, solar and other sustainable energy projects should be pushed and encouraged from all levels of government.

Nuclear Power is the guest you invite in easily...but cannot get rid of with the same ease at the end of the day

Nuclear is leaving our descendants to clean up the mess and the danger of used plutonium, we can have re-usable power tidal wind and wave with the Hydro system to back it all up.

Until we can develop reliable means of storing renewable energy, we need a fallback base-load generation technology. Existing nuclear reactors should have lives extended until this happens, but new ones should not be built.

with the ageing process making this type of energy dangerous for future generations it is better for the industry to go into solar and in some places, wave power conversion. even wind is a risk with pylons cracking and having to be replaced earlier than envisioned. cutting corners in the energy industry is not a good strategy. every house that is not a listed property should have some form of solar power capability, even those not facing the sun directly
