Platform 6 AGM 2023 - Thurs 23rd Feb, 10.30am

Hi everyone - save the date for our AGM, which will be online on the morning of Thu 23rd.

The agenda will be published in this thread and emailed to P6 members in the next week.

During the previous fortnight, there will have been:

So this seems like an opportunity for a general discussion to share items of importance, explore trends, synergies and conflicting agendas and to think about how Platform 6 Development Co-op can become a more effective, useful part of the co-operative ecology/solidarity economy.

If you have ideas for particular agenda items or discussion themes, feel free to use this thread to share them.

We are looking for active new members and directors, particularly people who like organising other people!

Hi Cath,

I'd like to attend the Disabled people in co-ops event (now
postponed to 6th March) but I'll be in Rome with my choir (I'm
travelling by train, very excited!) so i can't attend. I'd love to
get feedback from anyone who is able to go?

While the AGM is open to all (please come!), only P6 members can stand for election to the Mission Circle or vote on agenda items.

And although we do want more active members, we definitely also want boost the number of members simply to increase the money available in the P6 crowdfund, so that more co-op ideas can benefit from small grants. Here's some information on joining.

Here's the link to join the AGM

The agenda is attached below.

Accounts for year ending 30 June 2022

For those interested in standing for election to the Mission Circle: you need to be a member and be added to the Co-op Members subgroup - then express your interest on the ‘Prospective Director Statements’ thread

CMI

Perhaps it's worth exploring at the AGM why, out of 22 individual members and 8 representatives of corporate members, there are only 3 women.

quick note to say that it looks like I won't be able to participate in the AGM now, owing to an arising care issue for one of my kids... but happy to vote by proxy on matters if there's a link I missed/forgot?

CMI

Thanks Adrian, good prompt.

It's super informal and there won't be any secret voting, so I think just check out the agenda linked above, maybe the 'Prospective Director Statements' thread in the Co-op Members Loomio group and send an email with your votes on any of the relevant agenda items to [email protected]

CMI

Hi again - Mark has helpfully pointed out that it's a legal requirement for Companies to send out proxy forms, so I'll be doing that at some point by email. In the meantime, you can download it here. Deadline for forms to be with us is 10.30am Tue 21st.

Form says it's the first AGM of the co-op (though not crucial, I know).

Indeed - not crucial, nor even important. Thanks for putting it up there Cath.

CMI

oops, thanks Martin, one always misses something, fixed now
