Abortion rights
Abortion is a medical procedure. The Internet Party will take abortion out of the Crimes Act and get rid of the state-mandated “legal grounds” for abortion. Decisions about pregnancy must be left up to the person who is pregnant in consultation with the medical professionals of their choice. This is a woman-centred approach that is in keeping with international human rights practice, and treaties to which Aotearoa New Zealand is signatory, including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.

I agree in principle, but what about intersex or disabled children who get aborted because of who they are?

I support this 100% @lailaharre . I support a woman's right to choose and a woman's right to have complete control over her body
To quote Marilyn Waring "A woman shouldn't have to justify what she does with her own uterus" and IMO nor should this act be a criminal consideration but belongs in the privacy of a Woman and her Doctor.
Hoping all guys (men) on here get behind this and show their support too.

Absolute no brainer. The right to choose should come with no judgements. @lailaharre and I were at Wellington High the other day, and pleased to see a full panel of pro-choicers - but stigma remains in some attitudes

All my discussions with IP people to date have confirmed support for this proposition. I am keen to see it included in our health policy when it is published shortly. Is that all good with you?
