At the moment the rent control WG, which I am a part of, is not doing a huge amount of mass campaigning that would require booking spaces, buying art supplies etc. - it has functioned as a space to coordinate activities between housing justice and electoral / legislative work in the chapter. For this reason while I think a nominal appropriation to cover e.g. printing of agendas is in order, I think the majority of this funding would be better off spent on SOS which has historically spent a lot more money on the items it has requested money for.

If this changes in future, as it certainly may, then steering can vote to appropriate more money to RCWG. But in terms of making dedicated annual appropriations I think that SOS deserves more money and that if it is to come from somewhere it should be from a WG that is less likely to need it.
