What is the process once a preprint has been accepted for publication in a journal? or is there anything to do once a preprint has been accepted for publication?

I think you just need to add the DOI to the metadata of your preprint. There should be "preprint DOI" and a "publisher DOI" fields---and I believe they are right next to each other.
