Every Tuesday Evening
We are interested in showing a range of films. Past films we have shown, in a space no longer available to us, have had a didactic edge, or political lessons. We want a film night for people to come hang, watch and then discuss

Hi @lucywheeler just a question about what wall space Homies need for their film screenings. Are there any discreet marks on the wall to indicate this? The group I'm liaising - Nature through Art Collect - will come in and take down any art work in the way, prior to the screening.

@cindyjemmett It is always the wall directly in front of where the projector is mounted. Back wall, everything between the concrete pole and the wall

hi @naomismith I tagged you on here a while ago but didn't hear back. 17 Tory St has been booked with Fringe Festival events pretty solidly from Feb 12 - March 5th and we were hoping the film screenings could pause in that time, I saw on the McCreature thread that you were planning screenings on the 16th and the 1st, is there any way these could be postponed to make room for the Fringe shows?

Hi @naomismith just saw this conversation above, so guessing you are the right contact for this. I have a group I'm liaising in March - Nature Through Arts Collective - who would just like to be in touch with other users of the space during the time their event is on, which includes a Tuesday 22nd March. They know which part of the wall to leave blank for the film projection, but would be great if you guys could talk directly just so you both know what to expect and can work around each other smoothly etc. If you could send them an email [email protected] or let me know the best way for them to contact you that would be great. Would also like to talk to this group in the New Year about where exactly they need to screen their movies when there are exhibitions on at the same time. During the Linda Knuvers exhibtion, she had half of her art removed before her one day of opening and some pieces were damaged.
