Phase 2: Mind - Data capture for remote counselling service
CHALLENGE
Developing a data capture solution for Mind (National) that will evaluate the effectiveness of a remote counselling service they are offering on behalf of the Welsh government.
OUTLINE
Mind have been awarded the contract by Welsh govt. to develop and run a remote counselling service which offers 6 counselling sessions to people (need more detail from Mind) by phone. Funding was awarded on 20th May and runs for 6 months from that date. Mind have to mobilise quickly to get provision in place as soon as possible. 17 local Mind centres have signed up to deliver the program but service users will be allocated based on availability (not just location) which is a new concept for Mind.
The funding Mind are requesting will support with data capture for evaluating the effectiveness of an intervention. Without this support Mind are planning on using spreadsheets to capture data but acknowledge that this is usually poorly adopted by practitioners.
This is an interesting, neat project which could both help Mind to improve and continue this service offer but also be used in other initiatives where data capture is so crucial.
DEPENDENCIES
The wider project is already in progress and will require a team to get started within the next three weeks.

We are looking for a three-partner team, with each partner specialising in one of these areas:

BUDGET + TIMELINE
Budget: £18,000. £3,000 of that budget is for charity capacity to engage with the project.
Timeline: This is expected to be a 6-8 week sprint.
Deadline: Expressions of interest from digital partners must be received by June 23rd.

One org proposing an additional ethicist role @Ellie Hale
It looks like @Debby Mulling (Catalyst) and @Rob Brown are keen to work together on this brief, feel they complement each other and are ready to express interest.
@Sadhbh Doherty (Shift) has been quiet for a while, and there was no update on the potential collaboration between @Noam and @Gilly (and Gilly voted that it wasn't quite right for her, so assume this wasn't quite the right fit).
There's no further update from @Ellie Hale on what the ethicist role might entail, and no-one else has mentioned this in the discussion thread, so that implies there isn't broad support for this role.
No-one applied for the front-end and back-end development role, but since this project is primarily a Discovery phase, the UX capabilities of Debby's organisation should cover it.
I've therefore launched a proposal that the Mind Digital Team be made up of Debby and Rob.

We have delivered on a similar project and feel our learning from this is very relevant to the project. We would also be able to re-use elements from this previous project.
