Rose Marie Barrientos Wed 26 Apr 2017 4:05PM

Hello! I'm Rose Marie Barrientos, born in Bolivia, raised around the world. I’m an independent art historian and researcher on "art & economy", co-founder of Art & Flux at Sorbonne University, Paris. This platform, dedicated to my research subject at first, has grown to include other trans-disciplinary artistic practices. I moved to Barcelona five years ago, where I pursue my research, advise, write and lecture. Over the years I've put together a (still growing!) book collection on the historical and ongoing relationship between the arts and economic phenomena.

Hey ya'll!

Nice to meet most of you today.

Here is the mopey teenage angst video I mentioned in my talk that I listened to while doing chores. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_GkjymuQ9U

And many folks who talked today should read David Graeber's book, The Utopia of Rules (particularly you gamers).

xo,
Meredith
