Fire spinner for funderaiser? Yay or Nay

Be it resolved that we have a fire spinner as one of our performers. A friend is into fire spinning and performance stuff (acting and dance stuff). She is awesome.

What kind of commitments can I make for performers (dance, music, performance art etc) who maybe coming from a ways away outside of the GTA as enticements. Child minder for event, limited coverage of travel cost, small honorarium, a ticket for a guest, or comped drinks or meal at event? What do folks feel comfortable with?

I think we'll have to look at the budget. depending on the number of entertainment and where they are coming from, we can definitely cover childminding, and potentially travel costs. It would also depend on the location of the fundraiser and what we can work out with the venue before in terms of drinks/food. It would also have to balance for revenue vs cost

Awesome. Thank you so much. Also, who has the CMC square for interact/ card payments? That would be so useful for the event.

Really good point. Still on my to do list. Let's just go to a party store and get two volunteers at the door. One on tickets and one on ids.

Square Account is set up, note that all transactions have a 2.65% processing fee that goes to square for the swipy transactions, 0 for cash transactions, and if we have the interac tap/debit visa thing it's 0.10c per transaction
