It would be nice if the journal could be indexed in google.scholar, scopus and other databases.

Epi-journals are managed in a way very similar to standard journals except that they are not supported by editors. They can be indexed in all possible databases (one of interest being the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journal)). If I understand well, it is also possible to get an impact factor after some time.

I think it will be nice if a index system was created around all the epi-journal. The Russian researchers created their own index: Russian Science Citation Index. Don't forget that Elsevier is behind scopus.
