NYC Platform Co-op Conference (Nov. 10-11) Logistics
Matthew Cropp PublicSeen by 21The 3rd annual Platform Co-op conference is happening in NYC at the New School on November 10-11, and I have been asked to give a short (5-7 minutes) presentation about Social.coop during to project show-case!
This not only provides us with a prime opportunity to recruit a bunch of new platform co-op folks to our community/platform, but it also will likely be the single biggest in-person gathering of Social.coop users to date. As such, I'm thinking of organizing a social.coop meet-up over coffee the Sunday morning following the conference before everyone departs to strategize and hack on things for a bit.
We'll thus be using this thread for planning logistics, getting feedback on the slides, etc., over the next few weeks.

I've been going since the first conference, and it's a mind-expanding blast... :)

That's great news! Unfortunately I won't be there: I'll be moving to Malta exactly in the same days to begin my new job, so it's a no go for me... Talk about conicidences...
I'll be en route to Malaysia for the International Cooperative Alliance Conference and Assembly. We (the Youth Network Exec Comm) are running a session on the role of IT in our movement building work - while it is more of a peoples' movement assembly than a presentation, I'll pull some items from here to share in the intro portion as social.coop ( http://social.coop ) is pinned for mention. That sounds awesome! I'm hoping to make it out there for the conference. Not a for sure yet, but I'd really like to make it happen.
