It's time to rank our votes as we prepare for the upcoming #3 Ad Hoc Committee meeting!
These mission statements were chosen at the Wednesday, November 28th Ad Hoc Committee meeting.

This is a Score Poll and each mission statement listed can be ranked 0-9. If you select a low number (for example 1-3) you are signifying you do not think this is a good fit for the mission statement. If you select a high number (for example 7-9) you are signaling this is your preferred mission statement. You do not have to rank all of the mission statements if you do not wish to. Everyone's ranks will be tallied to determine the most popular mission statement. You can also type in your own feedback and thoughts about your choices. This is just a temperature check and a chance for additional input and is not a final decision.

9 - Empower youth to create a more just, equitable and sustainable food system.
6 - Cultivate youth leadership, healthy neighborhoods and food access through sustainable urban agriculture and entrepreneurship.
5 - Facilitate youth leadership, build community, and expand access to healthy food through sustainable urban agriculture, social entrepreneurship and education.
4 - Develop youth entrepreneurs through the growing, processing and vending of healthy, locally grown food.

Starting with the phrase “Empower youth” hits home since this is to be a youth driven project. The youth will be able to transfer skills acquired to any field they choose, not just “farming”. However, by focusing on the “food system” many social determinants will be addressed innately. Also, a concise statement helps keep the mission focused and on track.
