Lawyer for co-op establishment

Hi Folks,I contacted Roth Wall and had a short discussion about what we need help with.After explaining how much we had done already he seemed to think it would be a small job to get it finished.He asked me to email him the names and addresses of intending members, copies of the DA approval , disclosure statement, bylaws, model rules. He will have a look at it and give us some comments and an approximate cost.

It wouldn't hurt to send him anything else that seems relevant. Is everyone happy with me sending all that info to him?

Yes that sounds great!! I would like to make sure that you pass on the correct copies of the documents as they are being updated often. I will create a folder on dropbox marked "Documents for Lawyer" with the most current docs in it. Let him know that the annotated version of the rules has the explanations for each clause in it (yellow highlighting), and that also the blue highlighted sections need to be ratified by the group before final drafting.

Do we need agreement from Bennie & Susie first before sending those documents to the lawyer? I guess we should wait for their ok?

yes we do need their agreement to ratify the changes I've made and/or edit them to suit what the group wants. So each person needs to go through the rules and bylaws and bring any comments or changes up on the Loomio site over the weekend and we will have an online discussion here on sunday night.
