Discussion: Long Service Leave
We have not been keeping aside provisions for long service leave and need to as this is a legal requirement for all employees. Working towards a proposal that 1.67% be set aside in each person's payrun to cover this. There are some logistic involved: do we back date this? do we set up a separate account for LSL provisions? Normally LSL is payable for between 5-10 years of continuous service. What do we do with money that has been set aside by someone who leaves before this time period?

I think these are great questions, but I think we need to clarify if we are contractors or employees, as per previous discussion, then we may not need to move on this...

@kerry63 Being the 1st pay run for October is this week (today), was this proposal acted upon based on the responses? I did not see anything on my payslip (or I might presume it may not show on the payslip but rather the bucket report)?

Thanks Kerry In regards to no 4, I meant to ask is this from our buckets, or from say the 15% or would it be added onto that 15%
