Inbox notifications bug
The red flag notification on the inbox icon is showing that I have 68 messages in my inbox despite having none.
This appears to be because messages from a group I have chosen to exclude from my inbox are flagged by the notification system.
When time becomes available it would be great if this bug could be fixed.

@jessedoud was the last person on that piece of code. it's not counting the same way the rest of inbox counts. It's any easy fix for any volunteer

The number that appears on the inbox and notification icons to indicate new messages or notifications seems to not be very responsive. When I click on a notification or the inbox icon, even if I refresh the page, it will still show a number showing new activity for a little while longer. So often I read a new message and then I think there is an additional one, when actually there is none. Ideas?
The same thing was happening to me earlier, but then it appeared to be fixed. @richarddbartlett @robertguthrie @mixirving do you know the status of this?
