Suggestion Box for OSOS 2016

DS Danyl Strype Public Seen by 236

What a fantastic, inspiring gathering you folks put on for us at the Michael Fowler. Bravo. There was an announcement that there will be another OSOS, and I'm sure lots of participants have ideas and requests for what could happen there. Here's a space for that.

BTW I admit in my enthusiasm I'm starting this thread without having had a thorough look around what's already happened in this group, so If I'm replicating something that already exists, feel free to kill this thread and move my comments here to the appropriate place.

Keynote speakers I'd like to see at OSOS 2015 (in no particularl order):
* David Graeber (anthropology professor, Occupy activist, and author of the 'Debt: The First 5000 Years', and 'The Democracy Project'),
* Charles Eisenstein (activist, and author of 'The Ascent of Humanity' and 'Sacred Economics')
* Rachel Botsman (lecturer at the Oxford University Said School of Business, co-founder of The Collaborative Fund, and author of 'What's Mine is Yours')
* Yochai Benkler (economics professor, and author of 'The Wealth of Networks' and 'The Penguin and the Leviathan')
* Douglas Rushkoff (critical media lecturer, author of a pile of books including the seminal 'Cyberia', Present Shock, Program or Be Programmed, and Life Inc., and CodeAcademy evangelist)

Stoked to see the 'Suggestion Box'

I must say that, it would be cool to have really well equipped & inspiring resting areas [some of the best interactions I had were with people who were 'taking time out', sitting or standing in groups conversing, relaxing (even while talks were on)].
*** CREATIVE REST ZONES = spaces with whiteboards, notepads and pens, food, and stuff to play with...

I agree, I think it would be great to have group discussion/ practical workshops going on, Open Space style, in parallel with the talks. This would mirror our freedom of interaction online, where at any given time, we can choose between watching a TED Talk or YouTube video (one-to-many communication), and participating in email groups, forums, Loomio groups etc (peer-to-peer communication).
