Transformative Process

NJJ Nijil Jamal Jones Public Seen by 14

Pecan Milk Co-op uses a system of 4 syllables in Trans-Form-A-Tion to promote accountability. Every Abandonment of a task earns a syllable. More elements shall be added to the Transformative Process.

“Follow Throughs” are when tasks are completed well on time. “Abandonments” are when tasks are not completed sufficiently by their due date. Tasks are recorded in Trello. The due dates of tasks may be changed (follow through), but after the due date, it’s too late (abandonment).

For tasks that are time-sensitive -- like meetings and deliveries. For tasks that are time-sensitive and tardy, members must communicate and/or change the date in Trello to avoid earning an Abandonment.

Members are encouraged to change due dates with as much time in advance as possible. The due date cannot be changed within two hours of the time that a task is due.

Every 6 months, from April to September and October and March, members earn syllables. The recording of syllables resets every April and October for every member.

When members earn the first syllable, Trans, they will be accountable to the Co-op Coach or their teammates.

When members earn the second syllable, Form, they will be accountable to their teammates, the representative or leader of their Branch and/or the Team Coach

When members earn the third syllable, A, they will be accountable to the Co-op Coach, their teammates, the representative or leader of their Branch, an assembly of all of the representatives or leaders of all the Branches, and/or the entire cooperative.

When members earn the fourth syllable, Tion, they will be up for expulsion proceedings.
