Loomio

Starting a new thread

I just wanted to start a new thread to share a bit of information with the Loomio Community, but I literally spent a minute searching the screen until I finally found the "New Thread" button in the menu up left. Then, I had to select the group to which to post.

Wouldn't it be easier to just add a button at the top of the Open Threads view of a group, as a convenient means to add a new thread to this group?

Has this been considered? If so, and it was discarded, I'd be interested in the reasoning.

Thank you,
martin

Well,I feel silly now, but this is probably also worthwhile feedback. The "New" button exists, unless you selected "Loomio Community", which is apparently a super-group, not a group, and so it seems to just list the threads in all sub-groups. Sure, it's hard to add a thread to a super-group without more info…

Anyway, sorry for the noise. Maybe still something that can be disambiguated, unless I am the only moron hit by this ;)

Actually "members can start threads" was disabled for Loomio Community (which is a group, all of them are), which seems unfair.. I've enabled it so it should easier now.

If it was disabled, then how did I start this thread? I am confused now…

You started the thread in the product development group. A subgroup of Loomio Community.
