There were a lot of discussion at the hui around the best way to collaborate at a national level.
One suggestion was that we use coactivate to replace the current forum on the TBANZ site.
You can have a look at the Dunedin one here: http://www.coactivate.org/projects/dunedin-timebank/summary

Looks easy and if others are happy with it I am happy to go with it too.

That we use coactivate for internal discussion and collaboration on documents at a national level Closed Fri 14 Dec 2012 4:21AM
Hey look there is a little box where I can write 'outcome' of this proposal. Here goes.
Outcome = Yes! Lets do it. Emma has volunteered to get it started so.. yay. Looking forward to an invite.
Context from the hui, I think the idea was we use:
- Coactivate (instead of tbanz) for internal discussion and document sharing *
* this is what we are agreeing on here..
- http://timebank.org.nz (aka tbanz) to disseminate information to general public
- http://loom.io (this site) for nationwide body to 'make decisions' (already agreed by consensus)
- Google drive for large file sharing (eg videos, images, pdfs etc)
- Skype for ongoing monthly online get togethers

My limited experience of Coactivate is not terribly exciting (I didn't think "wow, this is great!" when I first signed up months ago), but I trust that Emma's review of it means it is worth trying, and at this stage anything is better than TBANZ!!

Having a central place to store everything would be fantastic - I'm all for trying something new.

I agree that it doesn't seem that timebank.org.nz has been easy to upload to. I think coactivate is worth a try.
