We need to figure out how we leverage Loomio for the particulars of our community.

I vote 1 week. Even nomadic we should all be able to respond with our phones within one week or less so that progress is not held up.

I check my emails daily and can respond that day. If you assign a priority score then members can get a sense of the urgency or otherwise. (suggestions for Priority scores eg "1" is urgent, "2" within the week, "3" this month?). This also works for me as Accountability monitor. If I understand the time frames I can remind people appropriately.
Thoughts?

I think words will be better than numbers. People tend to respond to "URGENT" in a subject line pretty quickly..?

It's decided- please be sure you set due dates for votes at least one week in the future when soliciting input via Loomio. Votes which do not allow at least this much time will be considered invalid hereforward. If we find that engagement continues to be a problem, we should revisit this decision as a group.
New Loomio decisions should be created with this time-frame to be considered valid community consensus. Votes made with a shorter duration will not be recognised as group decisions in the event of a conflict.

Maybe we need some additional incentives to vote that reflect the elf constitution and our previous discussions. If we don’t get participation in a vote after a week members maybe are assumed to agree. We also need peopl to sign the member application form at the end of the constitution so we know who are our members too. New proposal? That members of lumio are members of elf?

The first thing I want to get a handle on is: how long do we expect that people will take to respond to Loomio decisions, given our semi-nomadic, often-not-home group dynamic? This impacts how we should set decision due dates when creating them. 1 week? 2 weeks?
