Elections for position in Council

KL Kate Lebedeff Public Seen by 307

Guilherme Moro is standing for the position in Council
(replacement on-the-go, to be valid until next General Assembly).

Please have your say.

I defended since the beginning that regarding the conflicts that are on, Devs should select a new leader a council after that should pick that person. For Guilherme entering the Council nothing against, just the "Replacement". But like I said nothing against and if the dev team/Tc agrees on it, ok. Maybe I'm being to strict, for that I'm sorry. Just searching for more legitimate decisions and less conflicts.

I agree with João on this, so my plan is after I help out enough to abdicate the position again, and we can choose a new member in a more open method, using the input from the developers if possible.

Sure, we have lots of things to fix in our governance. But as we are in a quite exceptional situation, do you agree that we postpone our organization process discussions after we have at least a cruise speed related to the linux distribution development? I promise you that we will take our time to establish good processes after that.

IMHO the position of Guilherme appointed Project Leader by the devs is a very good justification for him being the one entering the council, all this added to his skills.

That is my point. We suffering a period problematic regarding legitimacy. When I say what I say is just to protect OMA, Guilherme and the Devs (cooker) from further conflicts regarding this issue. We don't need anything to much formal, just a consensus regarding this, and it will be nice that Guilherme could find that consensus inside Cooker. For me it will be great, because I could speak with him and understand everything in my own language hehehe. No misunderstandings :-)
