Loomio

Allow 'deeper' levels of subgroups (sub-subgroups)

I don't know if it's just Extinction Rebellion (surely Occupy had similar size + complexity) but we have subgroups for different regions. Each region needs to have their own subgroups for working groups such as actions, onboarding, press, finance and legal, etc

This is the biggest thing holding us back from Loomio now.

Thanks for all your support! I'm going to see if there is a quick way though this, otherwise it'll have to go behind the mobile app release.

Luke Flegg

Awesome. Good luck, we shall await ☺️

@lukeflegg if ER had its own instance of Loomio, each region could have a top-level group on that, with all the subgroups it needs. The downsides of this, along with needing your own server space and someone to do the sysadmin work, is that to bring people from other groups on Loomio.org into your discussions, they would need to set up a new account on the ER Loomio to participate. Unless there's some way for a user with an existing account on Loomio.org to authenticate on another instance @robertguthrie ? This was mentioned a few years back as a possibility in a thread about federating Loomio servers

Hello! Yes I find that a little frustrating already will self hosted Loomio for Borderland festival.. Wish I didn't have to use a separate account!

Robert Guthrie

do you wish you could see all your groups on the same sidebar, or just that you only had one password?

Luke Flegg

Yeah I don't know if it's possible but I wish Borderland Talk (self-hosted, so maybe not possible) was just alongside all my other groups on the left sidebar.
