Last year we came up with a way to do outreach together through a group a Facebook message and a google doc of active Occupy groups. We are checking if they are active by seeing if there's been any activity in 2014. If so, we are sending an inquiry and invitation. It's very gratifying to find so many ppl continuing to work together for a better world.
They are happy to hear from us.
The outreach features a resident DJ (me) who finds the finest music videos to inspire the work.

-sorted by state name, and gone thru once for "active or "inactive" status
-post welcome msg to other Occupy pages and make a note in colum D (4th one) so we don't dup efforts
-don't bother with inactive ones
-twitter handles not checked for active status
-add "new" pages to the list when u find them

I propose we set a weekly time & day that we can have online coworking events for Nat Gat 2014 outreach which we can promote with at least a week's lead time.
If we can agree to have this weekly we will have a poll with times AFTER where people can set the day/time.
This proposal is JUST TO DECIDE to have these regularly & schedule them so we can promote them to wider community.
The more the Merrier, right?

I agree with online coworking events.
Outreach party already in swing Tuesdays, but if we get more folks, definitely re-poll.
Definitely in with online coworking events and want to learn new methods.

needless proposal. already being done. invites are being sent. group work day is TUESDAY at 1pm eastern, and anytime you can on your own in between. FINAL DECISION. been there done that. super tired of going around and around on the same decisions.

I do not believe that this proposal is necessary; the parties have started. We need to invite folks into what we are already doing, not create something additional. If the day/time do not work for some folks, they can take our model and run with it at another time.

Sally it is. No one but your small group even understands what they are.
This is to make them more inclusive & give others a heads up when they are happening so we can join.
