• Who do you help? Those that want to change.(Is that the blue pill, or the red pill?)
• What problems do you help them solve? The problems that they want to solve.
• How specifically do you help them solve these problems? Empower them to ask themselves the questions that unlock the options that were not visible to them.

Sorry, this sounds so woo-woo, but these are my fundamental operating guidelines. Must be the Buddhist influence ;-)

This came up at the AVL Futures meetup this past week - we help people by helping them articulate what they need, what issues/challenges they are facing, and offer up how technology might support that.

We help people clarify issues and challenges they are facing, articulate the outcomes they desire, and offer potential technological strategies to achieve those outcomes.

Blending these, please comment on this as a statement about "We help solve..."

I'd add something about connecting people, bringing them together, creating space for collaboration, something like that.

To Steve's point, maybe something like this:

We help people clarify issues and challenges they are facing, articulate the outcomes they desire, and empower them to unlock options for achieving those outcomes through technology by connecting them with resources and technology.

It's a little wordy, I'm sure someone can finesse it. Steve's suggestion can be summed up by the word "resources" as it can refer to people, spaces and time.

I think we need to get a little more concrete to our specific niche we're providing.

Taking the draft above from Cat, Steve, etc and paring it down a little while adding some specificity and 'deliverable'.

We use collaborative technologies to help WNC residents clarify challenges we face together and outcomes we desire so that we can locally develop future-forward solutions to apply regionally.

That could be broken into two sentences if needed.
