Cooperative IT would like to join CoTech

Chris Lowis (Go Free Range)Chris Lowis (Go Free Range) Fri 12 May 2023 1:14PMPublicSeen by 90

We have a new application to join CoTech. David Carpenter says:

We're a relatively new IT worker coop. I was one of the original founders of Open Data Services back in the day, so I was aware of CoTech back then.

We're based in the Bradford district and were working mainly on websites and support for community organisations.

It would be good to be involved with CoTech as a member.

Our Articles are attached.

New applications to join CoTech are a member vote as per the constitution so I’ll start a vote on this thread. You can view their articles of association in the attached PDF.

Should we consent to Cooperative IT becoming a member of CoTech?

I'm delighted to welcome Cooperative IT to CoTech - thank you to everyone who voted for giving them a warm welcome.

Please see the start of this thread for details on Cooperative IT. They'd like to join CoTech. This is a member vote so one-coop one-vote, please. It will pass in 7 days if there are no disagree/block votes, but please take time to vote to agree as well as it's nice to give new co-ops a full and hearty welcome!

Voting on behalf of Cetis! Seems like our vibes and the articles seem fairly standard stuff. Looking forward to following their community org work.

Not blocking - but interesting to know if there’s any potential confusion with previous Cooperative IT. I have to admit I initially came here to vote thinking it was them rather than a new worker Coop

I’m assuming that’s not really our concern as wouldn’t come back on the CoTech anyway, but thought worth calling out
