#99Rise Occupation of the Capital in Sacramento

Most of you are now aware that a group of walkers from Los Angeles, with the single idea of "Money out of politics," walked almost 500 miles in 37 days and arrived in Sacramento 3 days ago. They are now OCCUPYING the STATE CAPITAL in SACRAMENTO. This is nothing short of phenomenal. The group has already celebrated the success of helping to push legislation through for AJR1, which means that California has just become the 2nd state to ask for a Constitutional Convention to OVERTURN CITIZENS UNITED.
i'll let that sink in.

Our allies from everywhere now gather ... people will begin coming to stand in Solidarity with 99Rise in Sacramento. Let's make sure we have enough outreach and attention focused on supporting this group, while we invite people to come out to Sacramento to support them, and asking them to stay for the OCCUPY NATIONAL GATHERING from July 31- Aug 3.

Donna I love the proposal. I block because I feel link to effort for constitutional convention is destructive to our freedom. Contaminates foundation of proposal. The proposal goes to heart of group. Corrupt congress will dominate process.

I think we should mike check them, subject to time issues; the declaration is pretty long to read the entire thing, inspiring though it is. Overall, though, a good and unifying idea.

I'm with Sally - all for reading, mic checking, but someone PLEASE do a time check on reading these first. May have to do excerpts. Folks are not going to want to mic check for an entire hour right outta the box.

@bradleymastin you are voting in response to @donnapiranha1's discussion, not the proposal.
So in this case a block has the full OWS meaning..
So you & @oswgwhe have moral, ethical or safety reservations about the proposal and will consider leaving the group if it passes?
Can you both speak to your Blocks?
