New feature: Reactions
Hi everyone!!
We're really pleased to announce that we've deployed our new reactions feature on Loomio.
Reactions are the evolution of "Likes", so now you can react in a bunch more ways, other than just liking something:

The other major part of this is the ability to react to more activity - it's not just comments anymore! You can react to the context of a discussion, comments and outcomes.
As always we're very keen to hear how what your reaction to feature development is, so why not react to this?
Love from the Loomio team.
P.s. We have so many new features coming, we're very very excited about the coming months. So stay tuned!
Hi Ben, they do have that, but it's just the standard alt text so it may take a second to appear. They are translated names for each reaction, so they should be multi lingual and accessible to screenreader users.
i meant when you go to select them - when you roll-over the choices - no alt text displayed

cheers

Ok I've fixed this and will deploy it soon
I found the new feature easily and loved finding a support icon right for the message I was conveying. Lovely
I think this is a fantastic step forward. I've always been uncomfortable with the 'like' button, and thought it would be good to be able to react in a wider variety of ways without having to say so in a comment (thus reducing text fatigue for participants). Great work on this folks!
good feature, but i wonder whether someone shares my disappointment due to the lack of a thumbsup reaction! also, it seems like the description on mouseover for "like" and "ok" reactions got swapped.
Hi @bady, in Loomio we already have a thumbs up icon on proposal. It's styled to be part of the set of proposal icons.
I've been against using thumbs up, because I am concerned that very inexperienced or new users might be confused by arriving at a page where they're tasked with voting on a proposal, and there are numerous thumbs up buttons to click. Agreeing on a proposal is our most critical workflow and I'd hate to make it hard to explain because we have confusing buttons.
I wonder if people are expecting a thumbs up just because Facebook has taught them that, and I wonder if we have to follow that lead, or if we can do something different.
would it be possible to add mention of the specific reaction in the announcement - so rather than just 'so-and-so reacted to your comment' it would say 'so-and-so reacted :like: to your comment'?
'cause at the moment you have to go and see the comment to see the reaction
thank you @loomio
request for ✨ for if and when the default reaction-emojis change (: love the reactions - great work folks!
Yea cool, happy to add more, particularly if we make a sleek category selection thing.

How can I find all reactions list?
would be nice to have rollover description e.g. 'thinking' on selection box not just on the display (if you know what i mean?) - i never know what some of the images are supposed to mean 🤔
