Food, Water & Shelter

Food.
Food and water is something that we all need to survive and everybody should be able to eat and drink for free. Food has to be grown with time and with a controlled environment. Cutting down rain forests and destroying land for growing food, does not need to happen anymore, as vertical farms and community gardens are the way of the future and a way to save the environment as well.
Results from Eco hydroponic skyscrapers/Vertical farms........
Food is grown in cities, reducing the need for transportation and packaging, this reducing pollution and waste......
Food is grown in a controlled environment, reducing the need for pesticides. Also protecting the crops from the harsh environment like droughts and frost bite.......
All types of food can be grown all year round with hydroponics. Not limited to season grow.......
Saves water, reducing wasted run off........
Saves the land, by not needing too graze land for farming. Then we can plant trees and let nature grow back to how it was.....
Improves health, by having fresh food available every day, for anyone to eat.... Can be modified for health benefits and not for profit. Its how we use the GMO that matters. It can be used for good or bad. When profit is involved its bad..... Most important is, enough food will be grown for everyone, to never have to worry about eating again
How the Agricultural Industry Works in a Contributionist Society/festival.
In a Contributionist Society/festival, food is grown locally, in greenhouse facilities, optimized for plant sustainability and health. All grown in pots for easy moving and for controlled water supply. Lights powered by solar panels will be used only during winter time, to create all year season growing. Pesticides will be made from natural ingredients instead of chemicals, and must be safe for human ingestion if unwashed. Ripe food is harvested by Master Botanists, journeymen, apprentices, and volunteers and then transported to local grocery stores. In this way, the stores are maintained by volunteers who oversee the care of food. Once food begins to perish, the remainder is transported to the community gardens where it is portioned for local humane animal farming as feed or compost, to become fertilizer for the next years’ harvest. Excess feed, fertilizer and food are shared first with local communities, and then with the extensive network of surrounding communities.
Local animal farms will be maintained by humane Animal Farmers, and may also double as veterinarians specializing in farm animals. Master animal farmers, journeymen, apprentices, and volunteers will maintain these farms, working together with Botanists and local fisheries to produce sustainable agriculture. But if we can supply the nutritional needs without eating meat, then i do can see how one day eating meat might be a thing of the past.
Local fisheries are maintained by Master Fish Farmers and Master Fishermen. Master Fishermen sail the oceans and lakes of the world for fish and are generally located along coastlines of continents. These fishermen maintain the local fisheries along with journeymen, apprentices, and volunteers. The fisheries then distribute produce to local groceries, following much the same patterns of conservation as the other farm varieties. Master Fish Farmers specialize in humane fish farming, and work with other farmers and scientists to create sustainable fish farming techniques. Along with journeymen, apprentices, and volunteers, these people maintain their local fisheries, distribution and compost/conservation.
For hydroponics we need power. So for the festival we might have to ask those to donate the solar panels from homes, many homes have way too many solar panels, that are that strong, they feed power back in the system, so maybe donating a few that are not needed, can help the festival a lot. We can set up a learning center so those who would like to learn to make solar panels and those who know how to, (3D printer) can do so, to keep up with supply and demand. We will also need a supply of hydroponic lights as well. So those growers out there will be asked to donate lights they have, while also a center for making and designing hydroponic lights will also be needed. The new LED lights use hardly any power compared to the old lights. Pots and irrigation will be needed also to grow the food in, that all can be donated or 3D printed as well.
To change the city to a RBE we then have have to look at building these vertical farms in the city, to be able to supply the masses with the food it needs. So finding the appropriate buildings to do this in will be located, then converted to a hydroponic set up to grow food in. The sky scrapers in the city that were used to launder money, can be turned into a huge hydroponic grow rooms and vertical farms, to grow food for the people of the city. The food is distributed straight from the farms to the restaurants/supermarkets below. The restaurants/supermarkets are kept they way they are, but also turned into big open cooking areas, for you to cook and eat for free from taking the food you need only straight from the shelf into the fry pan. The new solar technology mention in number 2. Power and Electricity, will be used to supply the energy we need for all food needs including the hydroponic lights.
Shelter and clothing.
Having a place to sleep and rest and clothing for warmth is also important. Sleep is important for energy restoration and no one should be sleeping out on the streets in a free world. The city/festival will be a place where all can sleep and call home. Remember finding places to sleep in the cities/festival will be easy, when you think of all the tents we can pitch at the festival or shops that might be used and all the offices that can be turned into sleeping quarters or homes that are not being used or have been donated. We wont have a shortage of beds or places to sleep that is for sure. All bedding and clothes will be donated to the festival, to start the library of everything.
1b. Food, Water & Shelter (continued).
Water in most cities, like here in Australia is not a problem and if it was a problem to drink in a city, then filters should be used free of charge. There is no reason why we should have to pay for clean water. New technology today allows us to extract clean water from salt water just by using the sun. We also have the new nano technology that can filter clean water straight away, also these new age filters on the market shown in comments below, means no one should be drinking bad water ever, that is of course if money was no object. Having the these vertical farms/eco-skyscrapers will also save in water, having no waste water run off, that you get on the conventional farms. The water run off in vertical farms will be caught and recycled back into the system. This reduces water usage and waste contaminated water flowing back into river systems as well. Reducing the need to clean the water catchments (our drinking water) from these chemicals that flow in from these river systems. Win Win.
